What are Rehearsals Like?
Come Along and Play!
The training band rehearsals are operated on a "come along and try it out" basis. Everyone is welcome. Regularly, members of the contest band will join in and help out either by playing alongside the trainees, pointing out where they are in the music, helping with fingering or simply providing support and encouragement.
Instruments are available for many players but we expect you to attend rehearsals if you have an instrument of ours. Other than that rehearsals are just good fun. The Training Band's musical director Sarah Whittington creates a relaxed atmosphere with the emphasis on enjoying yourself!
Where and When?
The Training Band rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings from 6.30pm - 7.30pm at the Michael Church, Low Edges Road, Low Edges, Sheffield S8 7LD. (Google map):
